OFFICIAL RULES OF THE RAFFLE BENEFITING THE
TRINITY SCHOOL OF TEXAS

By entering the Trinity School of Texas Gift Cards Raffle (the “Raffle”), Entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules, waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Raffle or these Official Rules and further agree to be bound by Trinity School of Texas decisions and interpretation of these Official Rules. According, you should read these rules carefully before entering the Raffle.

1. ORGANIZATION CONDUCTING RAFFLE: The Raffle is being conducted by Trinity School of Texas (TST). TST is solely responsible for the Raffle, the administration of these Official Rules, and the awarding of the prize. The Raffle will be conducted in accordance with the State of Texas Charitable Raffle Enabling Act. Net proceeds from the Raffle will benefit Trinity School of Texas, a non-profit 501(c) (3) tax exempt entity.

2. ELIGIBILITY: The Raffle is open to all U.S. Citizens and legal U.S. residents who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry, and are either a resident of Texas or purchase the ticket in person in Texas.

3. HOW TO ENTER: Entrants have not entered the Raffle until their entry submissions, with full payment, have been accepted by TST. Acceptance of entry submissions will be communicated to all entrants by delivery of a ticket stub. If a submission is accepted, then it will be deemed to have been accepted on the date and time on which the submission was received by TST, regardless of the date that TST notifies entrants of the acceptance of their submissions. Entrants may enter the raffle as often as desired, but all entry requirements must be met for each entry. Tickets will be sold up until the drawing on the night of the Spring Gala event, May 1, 2020 or until 1,500 entries are accepted, whichever comes first. There are four ways to submit an entry:

  1. Submission by Mail: Legibly complete the official entry form and send it by first class mail, postage paid, along with payment in the form of a check or required credit card information to Trinity School of Texas to: 215 N. Teague St., Longview, TX 75601. Entrants are discouraged from sending cash through the mail.
  2. Submission by Internet: Access the official Trinity School of Texas Spring Gala website at www.trinityschooloftexas.com/gala, navigate to the Raffle entry page and complete the Raffle entry form by providing all requested information and then clicking “submit”. Entry via the internet will not be available to those who reside outside of a limited geographical region within Texas. Online ticket purchase will close on May 1, 2020.
  3. Submission in Person: Purchase your ticket in person from a student, faculty/staff member or volunteer of TST by completing the official entry form, and handing the completed official entry form, along with a check, money order, or required credit card information to a student, faculty/staff member or volunteer of TST.
  4. Submission by Phone: Purchase your ticket over the telephone from an authorized volunteer or staff person of Trinity School of Texas by providing entry and payment information to the volunteer or staff person. (Acceptance of your entry submission and ticket stub will be mailed to you.)

4. COST: The purchase price of a single raffle ticket is $20.00. Each ticket is one chance to win. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Trinity School of Texas. Credit card payments may be made on the TST Spring Gala website at www.trinityschooloftexas.com/gala or by filling out the credit card form and submitting to a TST authorized volunteer or staff member. If the bank dishonors an entrant’s check or credit card, the entry ticket will be declared invalid unless full payment is received by TST prior to May 1, 2020. The purchase of this raffle ticket comes with no guarantee to win any prize.

5. ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning the raffle prizes will not exceed one out of 1,500, but may be more favorable depending on the number of entries.

6. METHOD FOR AWARDING PRIZES: TST will conduct a drawing for the raffle prize on May 1, 2020 at the TST Spring Gala Event. The winning ticket will be randomly selected from the accepted entries. Raffle entrants need not be present at the drawing to win.

7. PRIZES: The First Place Prize to be awarded is a $5,000 Visa Gift Card (Retail value $5,000). The prize cannot be substituted by the winner. Trinity School of Texas reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, at its discretion.

8. NOTIFICATION: The winner will be notified verbally at the Event. If the winner is not present, notification will be made within 48 hours by phone and/or by sending written notification by email if given.

If the winner cannot be located; or fails to respond to attempts at contact or to claim the prize within 30 days of the drawing; or fails to provide all information requested to be eligible to win, including proof of age, proof of identity, or fails to remit any and all taxes due, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and another ticket will be drawn within 30 days to select a new winner.
